Windows Vista Installation
Before you initiate Windows installation process, make sure that you have everything that you need for the installation. For a successful installation you’ll require a Vista installation DVD and a valid product key. Make sure that your PC meets the minimum hardware requirements to load and run Windows Vista. Also, determine whether you must perform an upgrade or a clean windows installation of Windows Vista.

Those who are already running any previous edition of Windows for instance, Windows XP, can use the Windows Vista upgrade advisor to help in determining if your machine is capable to run Windows Vista.
Perform a Windows Vista clean installation
STEP1. Start the computer and make sure that the current edition of Windows has started.
STEP2. Place the Windows installation DVD into the DVD drive and then close the drive tray. Wait a moment for the Setup program to start automatically.
STEP3. If the Setup program does not start automatically, follow these steps:
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type Drive:\setup.exe and then click OK.
STEP4. When the Setup program initiates and the Install now screen comes, click on Install now.
STEP5. Next click on Custom Advanced options and follow rest of the instructions.
Once you are done with the installation and if you are able to log on to Windows Vista, mean you have completed the installation successfully. If the installation halts in between and generate an error message, feel free to call iYogi tech support.
